ESUT’s official undergraduate programme page confirms the university’s undergraduate programme offerings and general admission requirements.

ESUT General Admission Requirements 2026/2027

Candidates seeking admission into ESUT through UTME are generally required to:

  • Choose ESUT or subsequently change their institution to ESUT through JAMB where applicable.

  • Be at least 16 years old by October 1 of the year of candidature.

  • Obtain the required UTME score for their chosen programme.

  • Possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.

  • Meet the specific O’Level subject requirements for their chosen course.

  • Meet any additional Faculty or Departmental requirements.

ESUT O’Level Requirements

The general O’Level requirement is:

Five credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.

However, some programmes have stricter requirements. For example, candidates seeking Medicine and Surgery must have five credits in one sitting, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Health Science.

ESUT Direct Entry Requirements 2026/2027

Candidates applying through Direct Entry (DE) must satisfy the general O’Level requirements and possess an acceptable higher qualification.

ESUT’s stated general Direct Entry requirements include:

  • At least two A-Level passes plus five relevant O’Level credits.

  • Relevant NCE qualifications for appropriate Education programmes.

  • Other qualifications approved by the university Senate.

  • Candidates must also satisfy the additional requirements of their chosen Faculty or Department.

ESUT’s official portal currently provides a separate 2026/2027 Direct Entry Screening Application Form.

ESUT UTME Cut-Off Marks 2026/2027

The exact 2026/2027 departmental cut-off marks should be checked against ESUT’s official admission announcement because the university can set different minimum scores for different programmes.

For context, ESUT’s previous official Post UTME advert used higher thresholds for highly competitive courses such as Medicine, Nursing and Law, while other programmes had lower thresholds. Therefore, applicants should not use old cut-off marks as the confirmed 2026/2027 figures.
