General Admission Requirements for ND Programmes

To be eligible for admission into any National Diploma (ND) programme, candidates must:

• Possess at least five (5) O-Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

• Obtain the required credits in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.

• Sit for the 2026 UTME and choose Federal Polytechnic Bauchi as your preferred institution.

• Meet or exceed the Polytechnic’s approved JAMB cut-off mark.

• Participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise when announced. 

General Admission Requirements for HND Programmes

Candidates seeking admission into Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes must:

• Possess a relevant National Diploma (ND) from an NBTE-accredited institution.

• Graduate with at least a Lower Credit classification.

• Have a minimum of one year of relevant Industrial Training (SIWES) experience after ND.

• Candidates with a Pass grade may be considered with two years of relevant work experience, subject to departmental requirements. 

O-Level Requirements

Applicants must have at least five relevant credit passes, which generally include:

• English Language

• Mathematics

• Three other subjects related to the chosen course

• Engineering: Physics, Chemistry, and one other science subject.

• Computer Science: English, Mathematics, Physics, and two relevant science subjects.

• Business Courses: English, Mathematics, Economics, and other commercial or social science subjects.

• Science Laboratory Technology: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
