Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the School of Nursing Amachara and Umuahia for the Basic Nursing/Midwifery program for the 2024/2025 academic session.

• Only candidates who have their WAEC, NECO, or GCE with at least FIVE credits passes including English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at not more than two sittings are eligible to apply. 
• This School offers a three (3) years Basic General Nursing training to suitable candidates of not less than 17 years.

Forms are also obtainable at the Nursing Service department, Ministry of health, New Secretariat Umuahia (Fourth floor, block B).

• Two passport photographs

• Photocopy of O’Level result

• Ten thousand Naira (10,000)

NOTE:

• Applicants must have a functional phone number. 
• Pregnant candidates and candidates below the age of 17½ [seventeen and a half] years are advised not to obtain the form.

Entrance Examination and Interview

Candidates who satisfy the basic entry requirements shall be required to sit for an entrance examination and selection interview thereafter. Only candidates who pass the examination are shortlisted to appear for the selection interview. The Selection process will include essay writing followed by an oral interview. Candidates selected for admission shall be required to pass a medical examination of fitness.
