SSU Admission Requirements for 2026/2027

To be eligible for admission into SSU, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

UTME Requirements

Applicants must:

• Choose Sokoto State University (SSU) as their first-choice institution in JAMB.

• Obtain the minimum UTME score approved by the university for the admission year.

• Have at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.

• Participate in the SSU Post-UTME screening exercise if invited.

• Meet the departmental cut-off mark for the chosen course. 

SSU O’Level Requirements

Candidates must possess five relevant credit passes in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or an equivalent examination.

SSU Direct Entry Requirements

Direct Entry applicants should possess any of the following:

• National Diploma (ND) with at least Lower Credit.

• Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with Merit.

• IJMB or JUPEB qualification.

• GCE Advanced Level passes in relevant subjects.

• Other recognized qualifications approved by the university.

Applicants must also satisfy the O’Level requirements for their chosen course.
