BUK Admission Requirements for 2026/2027

To gain admission into Bayero University Kano, candidates must meet the following requirements:

UTME Requirements

Applicants must:

• Choose BUK as their first-choice institution in JAMB.

• Meet the minimum UTME score prescribed by the university for their chosen course.

• Possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics where applicable, obtained in not more than two sittings.

• Participate in the BUK Post-UTME screening exercise.

• Meet the departmental cut-off mark for the selected program.

Candidates must have five relevant credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or an equivalent examination.

BUK Direct Entry Requirements

Direct Entry candidates should possess one of the following qualifications:

• GCE Advanced Level passes.
