You can only choose one federal university, one state/private university, college of education, and others. This may have hinder some applicants admission process to federal university. On this post, our focus will be based on list of private universities accepting second choice in JAMB. Kindly note that not all private Universities in Nigeria are accepting second choice.

What is Private University?

A private university is a higher education institution that is privately owned and operated, as opposed to being owned and operated by the government or receiving public funding. Private universities in Nigeria are usually established by individuals, organizations, or religious bodies.

What is Second Choice in JAMB?

In the context of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Nigeria, second choice refers to an option given to candidates applying for admission into universities through JAMB to select a second preferred institution in addition to their first choice.

During JAMB registration, candidates are given the opportunity to choose their preferred institution as their first choice, and they may also choose a second choice institution. The second choice institution is an alternative option in case the candidate is not offered admission into their first choice institution.
